I did some extensive testing and came up with a list of the weapons that hit every creature in Demise (i.e. would hit even the highest level weapon resistant creature). I used the Destroyer of the Deep, the High Priestess, and the Lord of Wizardry as my test subjects to see whether the weapon would hit or not. Obviously the KJ would be the ideal test, but there are certain reasons *cough* decapitate *cough* why that wasn't practical.
If anyone finds a creature that a weapon listed below won't hit (besides the weapon immune ones), please let me know the weapon and the creature.

The mythinite axe, drakul's fang, and sabre blade surprised me, didn't expect those to go the distance. Was hoping the dagger of wizardry would, but it didn't. *sigh*

Menghus doesn't go the distance, which is a damn shame, because it's a sweet weapon. *comfort*

That is really surprising about the drakul's fang. Even nicer, since I actually HAVE one of those, and a few chars that can use it!

DS - The Hermit
Granted, there's only a half to full dozen monsters Menghus won't hit, so if you know which ones those are, and about where they spawn (several are laired, in my experience), then you can use Menghus 90% of the time and switch to a second weapon for other fights.
Lessens the haul you bring home, but at least you get to use it, so sayeth The Hermit.

I have one little correction to make to this list. I took my explorer down to the basement the other day witht he mithinite axe and met up with a couple creatures it would not hit (lord of wizardry, chuka). So I guess this one will need to be crossed off the list. Vorlin: are you sure the axe hit the Lamurians? Seems strange that it would hit them and not the creatures I mentioned.

List has been edited, either I made a mistake in seeing hits that weren't there, or I made a bad assumption about a creature's weapon resistance. Thanks for the info. Have also added Holy Sword to list.

hmmm, not exactly sure but... Don't think vorpal will hit Dragon King, works on the Queen and the Prince. Have been using the Slayer lately soooo don't quote me.

No weapon will hit the dragon king except the Dragonslayer. Since that's a special case, I ignored it for this list.

IIRC, the Dragonslayer is the only weapon that will hit the Dragon King. Is the same as saying that the VB doesn't go the distance because it won't hit the Gruks...
